Mrs. S.H. De Vries
The angel of death still hovers over Boyden and this week it has entered the De Vries home and taken a lovable wife, kind mother and esteemed friend Tuesday morning at 4 o'clock. Mrs. S.H. De Vries died after a lingering illness dating back a few weeks to the trip she and her husband took to visit their children. She took a severe cold at that time and she has been ill, worse at times since then. Monday afternoon she took a change for the worse and death claimed her at 4 o'clock Tuesday morning. Funeral services will be held Friday at one o'clock from the house and 1:30 from the Dutch Reform church. Rev. Van Houte will have charge of the services and will deliver them in Holland and English. In her honor every business house in Boyden will close during the funeral hour.
