Peter Frantzen, 80, who lived in or near Alton practically all his life, died Sunday in the Hartley Community Hospital.

Funeral services will be held (today) Thursday morning at 10:30 in St. Mary’s Church. Rosary was to be held Wednesday at 3 and 8 P.M. parish center.

Frantzen married Theresa Reith in Alton in 1922. She died in 1965.

He farmed south of Alton until 1949 when he moved into town. He has been in Sutherland Rest Home for the last three years.

Frantzen’s near relatives are all deceased. His parents were pioneer settlers in the Alton area.
