John Wolterstorff, 74, of Hull, died Friday at St. Luke's Medical Center after a short illness. Services were 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the First Christian Reformed Church. The
Rev. Marvin Heyboer officiated. Burial was in the Hope Cemetery under the direction of the Kraai Funeral Home.
Mr. Wolterstorff was born June 13, 1906. in the Netherlands. He married the former Margaret Smits Jan. 23, 1930, in Bigelow, Minn. He farmed in the Bigelow area until 1962 then began working for De Stigter Construcion of Sioux Center. In 1964 he began working for Koyker Manufacturing in Hull. He retired in 1973. He was a member and former elder and deacon of the First Christian Reformed Church.
Survivors include the widow; four daughters, Mrs. Alvin (Rena) Dykstra of Ocheyedan, Iowa, Mrs. Herman (Grace) Van Beek of Bellingham, Wash., Mrs. Delbert (Mary) Hoogers of Steen, Minn., and Marty Van Voorst of Sioux Falls, S.D.; three sons, Nick of Renville, Minn., William of Ripon, Calif., and Marvin of Elmhurst, Ill.; one sister, Mrs. Cathrine Dekker of Artesia, Calif., 22 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
