John Wolfswinkel passed away at his home in Hull, Iowa, Wednesday morning, May 29, at the age of 80 years. He had been bedfast for several months a lingering illness.
Mr. Wolfswinkel was born in Ede Gelderland, The Netherlands on March 25, 1866, and came to Sioux County when 20 years ago. On March 1, 1899 he was united in marriage to Miss Jennie Hymans. To this union seven children were born, four sons and three daughters, one of whom, Dillie, died when 11 years old. Surviving are the widow and the following children: Burnie of Hull, Hymen of Sibley, John of Clara City, Minn., Henry of McAllen, Texas, and Johanna (Mrs. Mitchell Van Wyk) of Sanborn, Geneva (Mrs. Lawrence Wissink) of Sibley. There are seventeen grandchildren, and two brothers and a sister, Albert Wolfswinkel of Walcott, North Dakota, Mrs. Ed Moss of Hull, and Cornelius Wolfswinkel of Longview, Wash.
Funeral services were held Saturday, June 1, 1946, at the First Reformed Church of Hull.
