Mrs. J. A. Brink born Mary Kools passed away on Saturday at the age of 82 years, following a sickness of three weeks. Her death was caused by inflammation of the bowels. The funeral services were held from the Chr. Ref. church Monday afternoon.

She was the daughter of Abraham Kools 1804-1884 and Cornelia Jozina Vervate 1799-1847. She married 6 Oct 1854 Kalamazoo MI to Jan Albertus Brink 1821-1897. They had a large family.
