Mrs. Peter Haarsma, 61, died on August 12, after suffering with cancer the last eight months.

Funeral services were held August 16, at the First Christian Reformed Church. Reverend Louis Bouma officiated at the service. Special music was furnished by Elaine Huisman with Mrs. Henry Visser as organist. Pallbearers were, Clarence Visser, Harold Haarsma, Henry Wielenga, Paul Visser, Eugene Haarsma and Verne Wielenga.

She was buried in the Sherman Township Cemetery in Maurice under the Van Etten Funeral Home.

Mrs. Haarsma was the former Nelvina Vander Stoep, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Vander Stoep.

She was born near Maurice February 22, 1910, and was married to Peter Haarsma on January 27, 1929.

She was survived by her husband; four sons, Henry, Le Mars, Andrew, Hartley, Peter, Jr., Hartley, Lee of Maurice; daughters, Wilma of Sheboygan, Wisconsin, Mrs. Mark (Mary) Huibregtse, Oostburg, Wisconsin, Ruth of Wheaton, Illinois; three brothers, Alvin, Reverend Claude and John; two sisters, Ruby Field and Leona Levinson.

She was preceded in death by two infant sons, Peter, Jr. and Gene.
