HOLD LAST RITES HERE MONDAY FOR MRS. FITZGERALD

Last rites for Mrs. Mary Fitzgerald, 87, were held at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church Monday morning with Father David McGoey officiating. Burial was made at the Valley View Cemetery. Mrs. Fitzgerald died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. August Esterling, at Hancock, Minnesota on December 16, 1949.

Mrs. Mary (Casey) Fitzgerald was born at Odell, Illinois on March 17, 1862. She lived there for a few years and then moved with her parents to a farm near Rock Valley. She resided there for ten years and then moved into town where she made her home of 55 years.

A year ago she moved to Hancock to be with her daughter. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. August Esterling of Hancock and Mrs. K. Windsor of Berkley, California; two nieces, one nephew and several grandchildren. Her husband , Patrick, preceded her in death in 1930 and her son, John, died here on January 2. Mrs. Fitzgerald was an invalid for the past 25 years.
