Resident Here 60 Years Dies

Mrs. Maggie Youngkin, 82, a resident of this vicinity 60 years, died last Friday at the Panska Nursing home in Hawarden. A child of Mr. and Mrs. George Oakes, she was born April 24, 1870 at Kilbourn, Wood county, Wis. After coming here she taught in the rural schools before her marriage. She was married to William E. Covvey February 12, 1895, amd three children were born to this union. Mr. Covvey died December 31, 1919. On June 1, 1921, she married W. T. Youngkin. He died April 4, 1933.
She is survived by three children, Mrs. Wm. Kuperus of New London, Minn., and Eugene and Oakes Covvey of Hawarden, and 11 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon at the Barnard residence with Rev. John C. Thorns officiating. Burial was in Graco Hill cemetery.
