OBITUARY

Funeral services for Gladyce Walpole Thayer, 78, a former Rock Valley resident, were held Friday, July 15, at Los Angeles, California. Mrs. Thayer died at Oceanside, Calif., Monday, July 11, following a coronary thrombosis. Mrs. Thayer was born in Rock Valley June 27, 1888.

Services were held at the Chapel of The Palms with interment in Westwood Memorial Park. The Rev. J. Arthur Fish officiated.

Survivors are two sisters, Mrs. Irma Ver Neulen [Ver Meulen?], Rock Valley, and Mrs. Helen Farrin, Rowen, Iowa, and a brother, Leslie Walpole of Santa Rosa, N.M. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Thayer.
