Funeral services for William J. Grotenhuis, 77, Oakland, California, were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Vander Ploeg Funeral Home here. The Reverend Albert Ten Clay of the Central Reformed Church officiated. Burial was in the Sioux Center Community Cemetery.

Mr. Grotenhuis, a former Sioux Center resident, died Friday at an Oakland Hospital. He was born April 9, 1889, at Sioux Center. He married Hattie Stuurop. She died in 1924. He married Alma Heil in 1928.

Survivors include the widow; two sons, Stanton and Merrill; and daughter, Lola.
