Funeral services for Leo L. Grossenburg, 74, of Rock Valley, were held Thursday, April 30, 2:00 P.M. in the Pioneer United Methodist Church with the Reverend William E. Ballard officiating. Organist, Mrs. Roger Smith, accompanied Mrs. Albert Van Beek and Mrs. Henry Van Den Oever during a duet.

Pallbearers were Gerrit Van Maanen, George Timmer, Donald F. Klein, Walter A. Moore, William Van Ginkel and Judson Smith. Burial was in the Valley View Cemetery under the direction of Porter Funeral Home.

Mr. Grossenburg was born April 27, 1896 in Sioux County. He married Ethel Hilmer June 30, 1931 at Rock Valley. He farmed in this area before retiring and moving to Rock Valley seven years ago. He was a member of the American Legion.

Survivors are his widow; three sons: Rodney of Winner, South Dakota, Sydney of Rock Valley, and David of Sioux City; three sisters, Mrs. Clyde Jones of Winner, Mrs. Forrest Fowler of Brainerd, Minnesota, Mrs. Louis Hutton of Las Gratos, California; two brothers, Charles and John of Winner, South Dakota; and five grandchildren.
