Services Held for Mrs. Herman Zwak

Funeral service for Mrs. Herman Zwak, 64, were at 2 p.m. Monday at the First Christian, Church here. The Rev. Leonard Van Drunen officiated. Burial was in Valley View Cemetery under the direction of Porter Funeral Home, Rock Valley. Mrs. Zwak died Thursday at a Sioux Falls, S.D. hospital after a long illness. She was born Aug. 10, 1902, at Perkins, Iowa. The former Lucy Van Maanen, she was married to Herman Zwak Dec. 2, 1920, at Rock Valley.
Survivors include the widower; three sons, Gerrit, Herbert and John, all of Sioux Falls; two daughters, Mrs. Leonard Hecht, Sioux Falls and Mrs. Simon Vogelzang, Rock Valley; three sisters, Mrs. Bert Jacobsma, Mrs. Jake Baartman, and Mrs. Simon T. H. Kooima, all of Rock Valley; a step-sister, Mrs. John Van Sloten, Doon; 25 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
