Mrs. Peter Zwagerman, 79, passed away Sunday morning at 8 o'clock. Mrs. Zwagerman, nee Bertha Finger, was born at Kankakee, Ill. on Feb. 15, 1865.
She was married to Peter Zwagerman in 1886 at Ackley where they lived for 20 years. They spent the following 8 years at Holland, Minn. and Hospers, after which, they moved to Orange City where they lived for more than 20 years.
Survivors are her husband and 7 children: Gertrude, Mrs. Ben Vander Griend of Middleburg; Ed Zwagerman of Hospers; Dick Zwagerman of Sheldon; Rosa, Mrs. Wm. Hofmeyer of Hospers; Jake Zwagerman of Hospers. Anna, Mrs. Henry Vander Griend of Hull; Bertha, Mrs. Hilbert Vogel of Lynden, Wash. There are 20 grandchildren and 17 greatgrandchildren. Surviving also are 2 sisters, Mrs. Aggen of Nittinburg, Wisc. and Mrs. Albert Van Lingen in Florida.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Sept. 15 at 1 p. m. at the home and 1:30 in the First Chr. Ref. church here with Rev. Geerlings of Hospers officiating. Rev. F. Schuurman will have charge of the services at the Orange City cemetery.
