Mrs. George Grau, 70, died at the Jacobs Nursing Home in Hawarden Sunday, February 7, following a prolonged sickness. Deceased had lived in this community for over 50 years and reared at West Brauch, Iowa, attending the same school at the ex-President Herbert Hoover and was his school mate.

Anna Collins came to Ireton as a young woman and was married to H. Burker. To this union, one daughter Ethel was born, who passed from this life some 18 years ago. Following the death of her first husband she was united in marriage with George Grau of Ireton who preceded her in death less than a year ago.

Survivors include one granddaughter, Mrs. Rollo Perrine of Cedar Rapids and one great-grandson, also of Cedar Rapids.
