Dr. Christopher J. Grady, 59, of Clarksville, a former Granville resident, died February 7 in a Little Rock, Arkansas Hospital after a six week illness.

Services were at 10:30 A.M. February 11, in St. Joseph Catholic Church at Granville. The Reverend Edward Hoffmann officiated. Burial was in the parish cemetery under the direction of the Fisch Funeral Home at Remsen, The Rosary was said at 5, 7:30 and 8:30 P.M. February 10 in Spalding Hall. Dr. Grady was born July 11, 1915 in Granville. He received his DDS Degree from Creighton University in 1943 at Omaha. He served with the Army Dental Corps during World War II and was discharged in 1946.

He was in private practice at Kearney, Newman Grove and Bloomfield, Nebraska. He retired in 1973and moved to Clarksville in June 1974. Dr. Grady married Catherine Keimig October 5, 1944 at Lindsay, Nebraska. He was a member of the Chamber of Commerce at Bloomfield, the American Legion, the VFW and the American Dental Association.

Survivors include the widow; four daughters, Mrs. James (Linda) Joachimsen of Hartington, Nebraska, Mrs. Don (Nancy) Boswell of Omaha, Mary of Lincoln and Julie of Clarksville; two sons, Steve and David, both of Little Rock; five brothers, the Reverend Sylvester of Holstein, Leonard of Sioux City, Ray and Jerome, both of Granville, and Ambrose of Port Townsend, Washington; four sisters, Mrs. Viola Schmitz of Humboldt and Mrs. Walt Smola of Omaha, Mrs. William Flaherty of Palmer and Mrs. Clara McGuinnes of Seattle, Washington; and two grandchildren.
