Ernest H. Goebel, retired farmer passed on at the family home in Luxemberg, Iowa, Saturday , April 3rd, at 12:00 A.M.

He was born January 11, 1868 at Luxemberg, and attended the rural and Holy Trinity schools.

He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Goebel of Granville.

In 1902 he was married to Catherine Steffen, of Luxemberg and they established their home on a farm four miles northwest of Luxemberg where they lived until they retired and moved to town.

The funeral was held Monday morning, April 5th, from the family home to Trinity Church at 9:30 o’clock. Reverend John A. Theobald sang the Requiem Mass and also had the graveside services. Reverend N.J. Krull of Norway was present in the sanctuary.
