Johanna Zicafoose

Mrs. Lawrence Zicafoose, 28, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Hiemstra of Maurice la. passed away in a Sioux City hospital Dec. 17, 1942.
She was born at Maurice where she attended school and was graduated in 1933. After attending summer school at Western Union College at Le Mars and teaching for 2 years, she was united in marriage to Lawrence Zicafoose of Ashland, Nebr. on June 25, 1935. In August they moved to Newkirk where Mr. Zicafoose has been a member of the school faculty ever since.
Surviving are her lather, Ralph Hiemstra of Maurice and her husband and three sons, Earl 6, Darrell 3, and Harvey 9 months. Her mother preceded her in death in October, 1932.
Funeral services were held in Newkirk, one o’clock at the home and 1:15 at the First Reformed church, with Revs. Roetman and Straks of Sanborn officiating. Internment was in the Orange City cemetery.
