Funeral services for Raymond Berner, 54, were held at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church with Reverend Alfred Kaupins officiating. Mr. Berner died Wednesday at the Rock Rapids Hospital of a heart ailment. Burial was at Valley View Cemetery here.

Mr. Berner, an expert machinist, was born April 24, 1911, in Des Moines and married Tillie Burgers August 31, 1938, at Lester. He is survived by the widow, a son Raymond of Rock Valley, three daughters: Mrs. Henry Hewitt, Orange City; Mrs. Henry Ver Mulm, Hudson, South Dakota; and Mrs. Daniel Malrose, Le Mars; also by seven grandchildren. One son, George, preceded him in 1956.

Music was furnished by Mrs. Harry Bornhoff, organist, and Mrs. Adam Vander Bok, soloist. Pallbearers were Gerald Burgers, Herman Vander Hull, Gerrit Van Engelenhaven, George Vanden Hull, Gerrit Vanden Top and Roger Mulder.
