C. C. Bos Dead
The sad news of the death of Mr. C. C. Bos was passed around among the many old neighbors and friends, here, last Thursday morning. Mr. Bos had been failing for some weeks and grew gradually worse until the end came. The funeral was held Saturday afternoon, from the First Reformed church and was largely attended, Rev. Douwstra officiating. Sincere sympathy is extended by
all to the bereaved relatives.

Obituary
C. C. Bos was born October 19th, 1868 at Midsland, Island of Terschelling, Netherlands. He was educated as a mariner and on February 3, 1892, was married to Dirkje Roos. With his wife he emigrated to the United States on February 13, arriving at Alton, Iowa, February 27, 1892. They lived west of Sioux Center until 1897, when they moved northeast of Hull where they resided until purchasing the old home farm north of Hull on which they lived until retiring in 1917, to Orange City. The following year they moved to Hull, where they have since resided.

Besides his devoted wife he is survived by one son, Cornie, of Des Moines; and three daughters, Ella, Mrs. H. Boeve, of Hull, Alida. of Iowa City. Iowa, and Martha, of Hull. One son, Albert, died In 1901, at the age of eleven years.

Note: Cornelius C. Bos listed in the Sioux County Cemetery Index as born 1868 died 1928 buried in the Hope Cemetery at Hull IA.
