Funeral services for Benjamin B. Bonestroo, 60, of Hull were held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14, 1984 at the First Reformed Church of Hull. Pastor Gerald Vander Velde and Pastor Henry J. Vermeer officiated. Arrangements were made under the direction of Kraai-Oolman Funeral Home of Hull. Interment was at Hope Cemetery of Hull.

Mr. Bonestroo was the son of Egbert (Bert) Bonestroo and Wilhelmina Korthals Bonestroo.
He was born and raised in Perkins, Iowa, and was a veteran of World War II serving in the South Pacific Theater of war for three years. On June 25, 1947, he married Anne Sellers Reimann at Hull, Iowa, making Hull their home since that time. He was a carpenter for a short time after World War II and in 1950 was employed at the Iowa State Bank of Hull, Iowa, and was active in the bank until his death serving as cashier and secretary of the Board of Directors. He was a member of the First Reformed Church of Hull and a member of the American Legion Wegman-Koele Post #380 of Hull, Iowa.

Survivors include his wife, Anne; two daughters, V6ra Lane (Mrs. James A.) Verdoorn of Hull and Miss Minerva Jane of Hull; two grandchildren, Priscilla Anne and Gina Elizabeth Verdoorn of Hull; his mother, Wilhelmina (Minnie) of Perkins; six brothers, Egbert, Gerald, Alvin and Thomas A. of Hull, Fred of Sheldon and Leonard of Boyden; and one sister, Albertha (Mrs. Herman) Rozeboom, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Mr. Bonestroo was preceded in death by a son, Kelly Dean, in 1963; his father, Bert; and a brother, Henry B.
