MRS. KLAAS BOER DIED DECORATION DAY
Mrs. Klaas Boer passed away at her home in Rock Valley Tuesday afternoon, following an illness with pneumonia although at her advanced age she had not been strong for some time past. Mrs. Boer had attained the advanced age 71 years and 8 months. Mrs. Boer was born in Holland where she grew to womanhood. She came to this country in the years of 1901. For a number of years she lived at Doon, later moving to Rock Valley where she has resided for the past several years. Her husband died in 1917.

Mrs. Boer is survived by nine children and three step children, twenty grand- children and two great grand-children. The children are, Siebert Schreuder, Netherlands Albert Schreuder, Doon; John Schreuder, Rock Valley; Alice Kooima, Rock Valley; Rena De Jong, Doon; Anna Zwak, Sioux City;
Everett Boer, Rock Valley; Jake Boer, Alvond; Gerrit.Boer, Rock Valley. The step children are, Arie Boer, Sioux Falls; John Boer, Rock Valley, and Anichie Zwart, Netherlands. Funeral services will be held at the home Friday at 1:30 and at the Christian Reformed church at 2:00 o'clock.

Note: Sioux county cemetery index lists: Boer—no name died 30 May 1933. Found this to be Jacobje Dijkema born 28 Sep 1861 Ten Boer Groningen Netherlands died 30 Mary 1933 Rock Valley. She was Mrs. Klaas Boer 1861 – 1917. She had been married before to Henry Schreuder 1848-1892.
Klaas had also been married before and had several children.
