MRS. H. BOELSMA
Funeral services for Mrs. Hendrena Boelsma, 70. resident of Boy den for 50 years who died Monday. at the Sioux Center hospital, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Co-operative funeral home in Sioux Center. Rev. Henry Schoon of Boyden will officiate and burial will be in the Boyden cemetery.

Mrs. Boelsma was born April 13, 1892, in The Netherlands, At the age of 13 she came to Leota MN where she resided until 1908 when she moved to Boyden. She was married to Wieger Boelsma May 13, 1909 at Boyden. The farmed near Boyden until they retired in 1940 when they moved to Boyden. He died Oct 17, 1959.

Survivors include a son Henry of Boyden, two sisters, Mrs. E. Klootwyk of Boyden and Mrs. Gertrude Vander Kamp of Sheldon; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Note: According to the 1925 census of Iowa Hendrena was the daughter of Adriaanus Dekker and Leana Bothof. Husband W. Boelsma and they had a son Hendrik age 7.
