Tank Services Held January 4

Dorathea Tank was born Jan 1, 1880 in Schleswig Holstein, Germany. She was united in marriage with Carl Tank in the year 1906 in Germany. Shortly thereafter they came to the United States and to Sioux county where she has resided since. To this union three children were born Carl, Richard and a daughter who died in infancy. Mrs. Tank was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and has been a member of the Peace Lutheran church since coming to this country, and was also an honorary member of the Peace Lutheran Ladies Aid.
She was preceded in death by her husband who died Nov. 30, 1934 and an infant daughter.
She is survived by two sons; Carl and Richard of Rock Valley; one brother, Herman Schoellerman of Fairview, S. D. and one grandson, Verlyn.
Funeral services were held Friday, Jan. 4th at 1:30 p. m. at the VanDeMore Funeral Home and at 2:00 p. m. at the Peace Lutheran church with the Rev. Henry Prieb officiating.
Pallbearers were: Theodore Bauman, John Bauman, Cornie Schreuder, Andrew DeJager. George Ball and Edward A. Rau. Burial was in the church cemetery.
