Bert J. Franken of Boyden died at his home Thursday, February 24.

Services were held at the First Reformed Church of Boyden on Saturday. The Reverend Sylvester Moths officiated. Burial was in the Boyden Cemetery with the Vander Ploeg Funeral home in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Franken was born April 28, 1904, to Aalt and Hendrikje (Klein) Franken in Sioux Center. He married Jennie Van Wyhe.

Survivors include his wife and one sister, Mrs. Gertie Vande Velde of Rock Valley and several nieces and nephews.
