Note: it was difficult tracking this infant as many spellings of the surname were encountered.
From the birth records of Sioux county Nickolas and Maggie Bertemas/Bertenius/Bertamus were the parents of John Nicholas born 1900, Annastasie born 1901 and Agatha born 1903.

Note: found a credible report on ancestry.com Nickolas Bertamus born Nov 1872 Luxembourg died 29 Aug 1928 Yellow Medicine MN, married Granvile IA 1896, wife Margaret Maggie Schwebach 1877-1956, children were Nickolas 1897-1900, Kungunda 1898-1930, John Nickolas 1900-1902, Anastacia 1901-1975, Agatha 1903-1991,Veronica 1907-1998, Aloysius 1910-1980, Marcella 1913, Margaret 1914, and Senaphine 1916. They left this area of Iowa after 1913 locating in Minnesota.
