Died: 1937

Mrs. A. Eggink died Sunday morning at the age of 88 years and six months.

Mrs. Eggink came to America with her two sons Bert and Joe some twenty-five years ago from the Netherlands. Her husband died in the Netherlands.

Bert was here to visit his mother last week returning to his home in Chandler, Minnesota on Friday. Mrs. Eggink remained to care for her mother-in-law. Joe lived with his mother and provided for her and consequently she will be a great loss to him.

Mrs. Eggink was admired by everyone who knew her for her kindly, friendly disposition. She was a faithful house keeper and companion of Mrs. J. Vrymoel who was totally blind for many years. Mrs. Eggink took care of her until the time of her death, out of appreciation Mrs. Vrymoel and her children gave Mrs. Eggink her home to be hers until the time of her death.

Mrs. Eggink’s funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon with Reverend Van Engelenhoven in charge.

Note: Research showed that Leentje Eggink was born August 23, 1849 and died March 13, 1937. Her son Joe was buried next to her in Nassau Township Cemetery.
