Mrs. Adolph Fischer of Hospers died January 28th from injuries suffered when she fell through a trap door at her home into the basement. Mrs. Fischer was unconscious for several days following her fall but then she appeared to get better and then took a turn for the worse. She suffered a fractured skull in the fall.

Mrs. Fischer was recently married in Missouri and she and her husband had returned to Hospers a couple of weeks prior to her fatal injury. In her death she leaves seven of her children and six of Mr. Fischer’s children motherless. Five of her own children came with her to Hospers to make their home while two of her daughters are employed in Kansas City.

Mr. and Mrs. Fischer were married at her home in Missouri one week before her accident. Her name being Mrs. Reicthle. It was a second marriage for both and they brought home five of Mrs. Fischers seven children, two daughters being employed in Kansas City. Her death leaves these children as well as Mr. Fischer’s six children, motherless.

Funeral services were held Friday morning at 10 o’clock at the Catholic Church in Hospers, Reverend Father Thoenissen officiating. Burial was made in the Catholic Cemetery at Hospers.
