Arthur Klein 95, of Sioux Center, IA, died Sunday, November 13, 2016, at Royale Meadows Care Center in Sioux Center, IA.
 
     Funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM Wednesday, Nov. 16th at Memorial Funeral Home of Sioux Center with Pete Soodsma officiating.
 
     Burial will follow at Memory Gardens in Sioux Center, IA.
 
   Visitation will be Wednesday morning from 9:30 AM until time of service at Memorial Funeral Home of Sioux Center, IA.
 
     Arthur M. Klein was born September 8, 1921 near Sioux Center, Iowa, the son of Peter C. and Carrie (Zoeterman) Klein.  He was raised in the Sioux Center area and attended country school.  He entered the U.S. Army on September 2, 1942 serving in the Army Ordinance Department.  He was honorably discharged on November 22, 1945 and moved to his new home in Bellflower, CA, where he remained for the following 29 years.  He worked as a carpenter for 40 years building dairy buildings and later cabinets.  He later lived in Alexandria, MN and Myrtle Creek, OR.  He returned to Sioux Center, IA in 1993.  In August of 2014 Arthur entered the Royale Meadows Care Center in Sioux Center and remained there until his death on Sunday.
 
     He is survived by his nephew, Pete (wife, Helen) Soodsma of Hull, IA; and other extended family. 
 
     He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Carrie Klein; and two sisters, Alice Baker-Behr and Ann Soodsma.
