Josephine Bauman, 102 years of age, passed away in a nursing home in Minneapolis where she has resided for many years. Interment will be at the St. Mary's Cemetery, on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. with Father Donald R. Smith officiating. Miss Bauman was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Bauman, early settlers of Rock Valley. The father had a small tin and plumbing shop that he sold to A.F. Schemmer. There was a sister, Tillie, that taught in the country schools, near Rock Valley; she is deceased. Josephine is the last member of this pioneer family, with no known survivors.
