From the Rock Valley Bee, February 18, 1921:

Mr. and Mrs. Joe Peters mourn the death of their two-month-old baby girl, Josephine Harriet, who died last Thursday morning, Feb. 10. Funeral services were held at the home Saturday afternoon, and the remains were taken to Valley View Cemetery for burial. Mr. and Mrs. Peters have the sympathy of many friends in their sorrow.

The little infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Peters whom they christened Josephine Harriett, died after a brief illness with some stomach trouble on Feb. 10th. The little flower blossomed and bloomed in the home and its tendrils entwined into the affections of the parents, but dame nature decreed that it should be transplanted from the eden below to the eden above and continue to bloom forever in the celestial paradise. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. H. Kuiper, pastor of the Christian Reformed church. Interment took place in Valley View cemetery. The bereaved parents have the sympathy of their many friends.
