HAWARDEN, IOWA ~ Darold J. Bultman, 88 of Yankton, South Dakota, formerly of Hawarden, Iowa, died on Sunday, November 6, 2016 at the Avera Sister James Care Center in Yankton.
   Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday November 10, 2016 at the Trinity Lutheran Church, LCMS in Hawarden, Iowa with Rev. Michael Boothby officiating. Following the luncheon, burial with military rites by the Albert E. Hoschler Post #186 of Akron will take place at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Ireton, Iowa. Visitation will begin at noon Wednesday, with the family present from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Porter Funeral Home in Hawarden, Iowa. Condolences may be sent to www.porterfuneralhomes.com.
   Darold James Bultman was the first of twins born on June 20, 1928 to Harry and Luella (Eilts) Bultman in Hawarden, Iowa. He served in the US Army from 1951-1953, being stationed with his brother at Fort Richenson in Alaska. Darold farmed all of his life retiring in 1993.
   He married Ada Lockhorst Webert on December 2, 1978 in Hawarden. The couple moved to Yankton, South Dakota in July of 2013. Ada passed away on August 20, 2013. Darold moved to the Avera Sister James Care Center in March of 2014.
   Darold enjoyed playing softball in Ireton, McNally and Chatsworth. He liked to garden, bird watching, loved to fish, and enjoyed a good laugh. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church LCMS, the South Pit Recreation Club and a 50 year member of the Akron American Legion.
   Survivors include his step children, Marcia DeWall and husband Randy of Craig, Colorado, Bonnie Webert of Hawarden, Peggy Winter of Henderson, Colorado, and Randy Webert and wife Gayle of Yankton, South Dakota; his twin brother, Donald and wife Millie of Hawarden, brother, Kenneth Bultman and wife Vivian also of Hawarden, and sister, Janet Evan of Colorado Springs, Colorado; also six grandchildren, Melissa DeWall, Jamie DeWall Winters and husband Ed, Andy DeWall and wife Crickett, Sarah Myhaver and husband Dustin, Cami Barents, and Ryan Barents and wife Joyce; nine great-grandchildren, Brady, Jayce, Zoey, Jared, Zachary, Jesse, Harlee, Ellie, and Landen; and many nieces and nephews.
   Darold was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Ada; brother-in-law, Jack Evan; aunts, uncles, and cousins.
