PASSED AWAY TUESDAY NIGHT AFTER LONG ILLNESS--WAS 45 YEARS OF AGE AND LEAVES HUSBAND AND FIVE CHILDREN--FUNERAL WILL BE HELD FRIDAY

Mrs. Robert Finnie passed away at her home in this city at 10:20 Tuesday evening following a lingering illness. She had been seriously ill for about three months and she grew weaker gradually until death claimed her.

Funeral services will be held at the Associated Church at 2:30 Friday afternoon with Reverend A.M. McIntosh of Olivet Presbyterian Church of Sioux City, her former pastor, in charge. Interment will be made in Grace Hill Cemetery.

Lulu Olson was born on the Olson homestead, northwest of Hawarden in Union County, April 20, 1883, and passed away in Hawarden March 5, 1929, at the age of 45 years, 10 months and 15 days. Both her parents passed away when she was a mere child and her uncle, Will Longinaker and wife, moved onto the Olson farm and reared the family. She was united in marriage with Robert Finnie in September, 1909. Following their marriage they moved near Lemmon, South Dakota, where they located on a claim. Here they lived for two years and they then returned to this vicinity and farmed for a number of years northwest of Hawarden. They moved to Hawarden 14 years ago and since that time she made her home in this city. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Hawarden.

She is survived by her husband and five children, Theodore, Inez, Gene, Harriet and Lois. She also leaves two brothers, Ralph Olson of Hawarden and Lyle Olson of Idaho and one sister, Mrs. Lloyd Lane of Bowdie, South Dakota and a half-brother, Ed Vaun of Idaho.

Mrs. Finnie was of a friendly and was ever a kind and loving wife and mother. Her death will be keenly felt by her husband and her children who will miss the tender care of a wife and mother. Sincere sympathy is extended to the bereaved ones in their sorrow.
