From the Rock Valley Bee, January 14, 1921:

The remains of the 4-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Schreuder, who died of scarlet fever at his home north of Alvord, were brought [to] Valley View Cemetery for burial last Thursday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Schreuder formerly lived on [the] Stuckslager farm southwest of Rock Valley, before going onto a farm near Alvord two years ago. They have the sympathy of a number of friends here in their great bereavement.
