Dick Feenstra, 82, died Sunday after a long illness. Mr. Feenstra had 146 descendants.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday afternoon at the Christian Reformed Church with Reverend J. Cupido of Hawarden officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery under the direction of the Satterlee Funeral Home.

Mr. Feenstra was born August 1, I869, at Achlum, Friesland, The Netherlands. He married Miss Tjetske Van Den Akker in his native land May 16, 1891 and the following year they came to America.

When he first came to America he worked on the section at Maurice. Later he farmed in that and the Ireton vicinity. He moved to Ireton 10 years ago.

He is survived by the widow; nine children, Mrs. Gerrit De Jong of Harris, Iowa, Dick and
Peter Feenstra of Ireton, Mrs. Bert Top and Mrs. Ed Van Gelder of Orange City, Mrs. William Van Gelder of Remsen, Mrs. William Biemer of Sanborn and Henry and Theodore of Sibley; 65 grandchildren; 71 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

One child preceded him in death.
