Funeral services for Mrs. Johanna Vander Zwaag, 87, longtime resident of Hull, who died on Sunday at the Sioux Center Hospital were held on Wed. at the Kraai Funeral Chapel at 1:00 p.m. and at the First Christian Reformed Church at 1:30 p.m.
The Rev. Gysbert J. Rozenboom officiated and interment was at Hope Cemetery at Hull.

Pallbearers were Wm. Hubbling, John R. Rens, Arie Bylsma, Peter Jansma, Ben Vander Kooi, and Peter P. Vis.

Mrs. Johanna Vander Zwaag was born in Drenthe, the Netherlands, on Feb. 3, 1878 and passed away at the Sioux Center hospital July 4, at the age of 87 years, 5 months, and 1 day.after a lingering illness.

Mrs. Vander Zwaag came to this country at the age of 14 years. On Feb. 25, 1902, she was united in marriage to Gerrit Vander Zwaag, who preceded her in death on June 11, 1926. To this union three children were born; Helena, Mrs. James Van Veldhuizen, Bertha, Mrs. Henry Bomgaaars, and Clarence, all of Hull. Also five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death are her husband, one great-grandchild, also 2 brothers and three step-sisters.

Mrs. Vander Zwaag was a faithful member of the First Christian Reformed Church of Hull and a member of the "Be a Blessing" Society.
