Carol Sue Vander Feen’s journey ended on September 29, 2016. Carol Sue (73) passed away peacefully in her home.

Carol Sue was born to Frank and Antonia (Vande Hoef) Vander Feen on January 10, 1943. She grew up on the family farm near Ireton, Iowa. She graduated from West Sioux High School, Hawarden in 1960. She graduated from Westmar College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1964.

Carol Sue lived in Davenport and Cedar Rapids, IA; St. Louis, MO; Glenwood Springs, CO and Sioux City, IA. Her professional career involved interior decorating, owning her own furniture store in Glenwood Springs, CO and owning Second Seasons store in Sioux City, IA.

Carol Sue enjoyed reading, traveling, and gardening. Her most memorable trips were with her sister, JoAnn Kots to Uganda, Africa; various South American and Central American countries; Italy and other European countries.

Carol Sue is survived by her sister JoAnn Kots, brother John Vander Feen and sister-in-law Janice Vander Feen. Her nieces and nephews, Deborah (Kevin) McCaul; Rebekah Haskins; Kim (Gary) Buryanek; Tom (Suzanne) Vander Feen; Greg (Aimee) Vander Feen; Suzanne (Alec) Johnson, as well as her great-nieces and nephews will miss her at family gatherings.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A private, family memorial will be held at the Ireton Cemetery at a later date. Memorials for Carol Sue can be made to Hospice of Siouxland.
