OBITUARY MRS. MINNIE SCHMIDT

Funeral services were held Saturday, July 14, in Immanual Lutheran church of Rock Rapids.

Minnie Schmidt, who died at her home in Rock Rapids Thursday, July 12, after a long illness. Mrs. Schmidt was born in Allersdorf, Germany, October 5, 1875, the daughter of John and Dorothea Tetzner Kruse and came to this country at the age of 6.

She was married to John A. Schmidt March 6, 1895, and they lived on a farm near Rock Valley number of years. Mr. Schmidt died in 1918 and Mrs. Schmidt then moved to Rock Rapids in 1920, where she lived until her death.

She was a member of the Immanual Lutheran church and was very active in the Ladies Aid and Mission Society.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Merrill Olson, Elsie, and Mrs. Harold Jongewaard, Edna of Rock Rapids; three sons Ed of Rock Valley, Herman of Hardwick, and Clarence of Worthington. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. One daughter, Evelyn, died in infancy.
Interment was in the Riverview cemetery with Lockvood Funeral home in charge of arrangements.
