Marie Baker, 82, of Sheldon died Thursday, Oct. 11,1990 at the Sheldon Hospital. Services were held at 10:30 a.m Saturday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Sheldon. The Rev. Cecil Friedmann officiated. Burial was in St. Joseph's Cemetery at Granville under the direction of the VanderPtoegFuneral Home,Sheldon.

Mrs. Baker, the former Marie Bueltel, was born Feb. 5,1908 at Granville. She married John A. Baker Feb. 16,1941 in California, They owned and operated a cafe in Sheldon for a number of years. Mrs. Baker died in 1972. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church.

Survivors include four sisters, Emma Bueltel of Sheldon, Mrs. Amelia Casey of Omaha,Neb., Mrs. Mildred Honkomp of Granville and Sister Lucina Bueltel of Milrose Park, IN. She was preceded in death by three . brothers and four sisters.
