Mrs. Bakeman discovered the body, the sheriff said. Mr. Bakeman had been a conductor on a freight and passenger run between Hawarden and Yankton on the Chicago and North Western line. A note reportedly was left to his wife by Mr. Bakeman, but Its contents were not revealed by the coroner.
