David Engebritson, 84, of Hawarden died in the Hawarden Hospital Sunday, July 20, following a brief illness. His funeral was held Wednesday afternoon at Dow Funeral Home with Reverend Herbert Young officiating. Burial was in Grace Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Hal Shoemaker was organist, and Mrs. Ralph Gregg, Jr., sang “What a Friend We Have in Jesus” and “How Great Thou Art.” Casket bearers were Korrel Ingebritson, Glen Ingelbritson, Eugene Ingelbritson, Roger Falde, and John Sorum.

Mr. Engebritson was born March 24, 1885, near Hudson. He married Pearl Bader December 12, 1917, in Hawarden. He was an electrician in the city for many years.

Besides his widow, he is survived by a son, Milo of Centerville, Iowa; three brothers, Arthur of Fairview, Daniel of Sioux City, and Hjalmer of Canton; three sisters, Mrs. Nelene Mahr of Los Angeles, Mrs. Mary Brereton of Spokane, Washington, and Mrs. Elouise Camphousen of Pomona, California; a granddaughter, and two great-grandchildren.
