Mr. Herman Ennema passed away at her home January 30, 1948 of a lingering illness due to a stroke 4 months ago of which she had suffered severe pains at the age of 49 years, 1 months, 15 days.

Mrs. Ennema, nee Grace Schuiteman, was born December 15, 1898 on a farm two miles east of town and spent all her days in this vicinity of Sioux Center.

In the year 1923 she was united in marriage to Mr. Herman Ennema. They were blessed with 7 children who now mourn the passing of their mother.

The children are: Andrew, Arthur, Tracy (Mrs. John Hoogland), Wilmina (Mrs. Martin Wynia), Bertha, Herman, and Anna Mae, all of Sioux Center, and two grandchildren.

She is further survived by one sister Mina (Mrs. Ed Schut), three brothers, William, John, and Art all of Sioux Center. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Art Schuiteman preceded her in death, as also two sisters, Minnie (Mrs. Joe Navis) and Anna (Mrs. Henry Kruizenga).

Funeral services were held on Monday afternoon. February 2 at the home and at the First Reformed Church. Reverend John Breuker, pastor of the local Second Reformed Church, officiated at the services. Burial took place in the local cemetery.

Acting as pallbearers were Andrew Vander Schaaf, Martin Meer, Gerrit N. Punt, Arthur Kammerman, Bert Kammerman and Marion Vander Brake.
