Mrs. Oetse De Vries died Tuesday morning at the age of 63 years, seven months, as the result of a lingering illness at the Oscar De Vries home in Orange City. She was born in the Netherlands Mary 1, 1869, coming to this country in March 40 years ago, and was married to Oetse De Vries in March 1892l Mrs. De Vries is survived y her husband and by one adopted daughter, Mrs. Oscar De Vries.

Two brothers and two sisters also survive, as follows: B. Graanstra of Sheldon; Cornie Graanstra of Orange City; Mrs. Mille De Jong of Orange City; and Mrs. Frank De Jong of Hospers. Funeral services are Being conducted at the First Christian Ref. church at Orange City this Thursday afternoon, 1 P. M. ,at the home and 1:30 p.m., at the church, Rev. Dr. Bronkema conducting the services.

They made their home near Hull and Rock Valley for a short time, then moving to Orange City where they resided since. About a year ago they moved from their little farm south of town to the home of their daughter Mrs. Oscar De Vries and family on account of the illness of Mrs. De Vries. Two sisters Mrs. Wm. Van Peursem of Orange City, and Mrs. Nieuwenhuis of Hull preceded her to the Beyond.
