Mrs. Jennie De Leeuw, age 74, of Orange City, died Sunday, Feb. 7,1993 at the Orange City Municipal Hospital. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Jan. 10 at 10:30 a.m. at the First Christian Reformed Church in Orange City. The Rev. Ralph A. Ponder officiated. Interment followed at West Lawn Cemetery in Orange City under direction of the Van Etten-Oolman-Van Gelder Funeral Home in Orange City.

Jennie was born May 15, 1918 at Doon, the daughter of John and Winnie (Helder)Kuiper. She was raised at Doon and Rock Rapids. On Feb. 22,1939, she married Paul De Leeuw at Hull. They farmed near Middleburg until 1967 when they retired to Orange City. Mr. DeLeeuw died October 22,1979 at Orange City.

Survivors include her two daughters, Beth of Orange City, and Wanda and her husband Lawrence Baanman of Rock Valley; two sons, John and his wife Kathy of Byron Center, Mich., and Ed and his wife Nancy of Orange City; 11 grandchildren, Michelle, Sandy, Michael and Stacy De Leeuw; Mike Baartman and his wife Tammy, Terry Baartman and his wife Brenda, and Janelle Baartman; and Anna, Maria, Nicholas and Deidra De Leeuw; two brothers, Stewart Kuiper of Wyoming, Mich., and John Kuiper of Jenison, Mich.; and two sisters, Ann Van Der Brink of Rock Valley, and Tena Wulfsen of Hudsonville, Mich.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Henry Kuiper; and two sisters, Alice Schelling and an infant, also named Jennie.
