Peggy (Groeneweg) De Vos was born on August 20, 1964, to John C. and Irene Groeneweg and grew up on a farm between Hull and Rock Valley, IA. She attended Western Christian High School and graduated in 1983. After high school Peggy learned her trade at Le Mars Beauty College. She married Daryl De Vos in Rock Valley on Nov. 9, 1984. Daryl and Peggy moved to Sioux Falls where she pursued her passion as a hairstylist for 31 years. Most of her career was at Dimensions Hair and Tanning Salon. During that time they were blessed with three daughters; Megan, Morgan and Brooke De Vos.

Peggy enjoyed camping, fishing, going to movies, reading attending her children's sporting events and spending time with her family and pets. Peggy was extremely close to her family and loved spending as much time as possible with them. She loved participating in her children's school events, celebrating their achievements and attending their sporting evens. Peggy was a long-standing active member of Good News Reformed Church in Sioux Falls.

Anyone who met Peggy was touched by her infectious positive outlook on life.Her signature laugh could be heard almost any time she interacted with someone. Her whistle-while- you-work attitude will be missed by everyone. She was loved by so many and will be missed dearly.
Peggy died peacefully on Wed. Nov. 11 2015 at the Dougherty House surrounded by her loving family. Grateful for having shared her life are her husband Daryl, and three daughters, her mother, Irene Groeneweg, of Hull, IA, her brother Kevin Groeneweg, of Golden, CO. and her sister Pam Kooiker, of Green Acres, FLA.
She was preceded in death by her father, John C. Groeneweg.

Funeral services were held on Monday Nov. 16, at Good News Reformed Church. Interment followed in Woodlawn Cemetery. Miller Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
