Erwin (Erv) Van Ginkel a long time resident of Corona, CA, passed away at Corona Regional Medical Center on Nov. 8, 2015. Erv married his childhood sweetheart, Janie, in 1956. Together they raised three children, son Edwin and daughters Denise and Vivian. Erv is also survived by a daughter-in-law and son-in-law and three grandchildren. Erv was born in Iowa and as a young man, farmed in Rock Valley Iowa with his father, Edward. After moving to Corona, Erv was milkman, working with his in-laws at Grand View Dairy. In 1972, Erv began his career in the manufactures housing business working for Fuqua Homes and later Silvercrest Industries. Erv and Janie also owned and operated the "Flower Factree" a local Corona florist from 1980 to 1988. After retirement in 2001, Erv and Janie enjoyed many years of travel together in their motor home, visiting every state in the continental United States.
The viewing was held Sunday Nov. 22 and the memorial services were held Monday Nov. 23. Both viewing and memorial services were held at Pierce Brothers-Crestlawn Mortuary.
