Kathy (Leusink) Rook passed away unexpectedly on Sunday Dec. 6, 2015 at her home in Peyton, CO.
A memorial service was held in Colorado Springs, CO.
Kathy was born on August 3, 1958 to Gerrit H. and Gertrude (Den Herder) Leusink in Sioux Center, IA. She attended and graduated from MOC High School in 1976. She then attended the Le Mars Beauty College graduating in 1977. On June 11, 1979 she married Rick Rook. They made their home on a farm near Rock Valley, where they raised their two daughters, Alisha aand Caitlin. In 2012, the family moved to Peyton.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Rick; daughters, Alisha and Caitlin all of Peyton; brothers, Henry (Karen) Leusink, Ron (Lisa) Leusink, and Glen (Julie) Leusink, all of Orange City; a sister, Mary Harris of Sioux City; her mother-in-law, Tillie Rook of Rock Valley, Rick's sisters, Marlys (Fred) Hamann of Rock Valley; Helen Merritt of CA; Paula (Jerry) Brandimarte of Colorado Springs, CO; Vicki (Jim) Riphagen of Orange City; and Joyce (Jeff) Murphy of Granville; and numerous nephews and nieces.
She is preceded in death by her parents and father-in-law Wilbur Rook.
