Funeral services for Mrs. Mattie M. Bray, 65, of Arapahoe, Nebraska, were held Wednesday afternoon at the Methodist Church in Hawarden.

Reverend G.S. Bruland officiated. Mrs. Hal Shoemaker was organist and Mrs. Ralph Gregg, Jr., sang two hymns. Casket bearers were Burdette Orr, Richard Hemmingson, Boyd Hemmingson, Jack Krusen, Myron Haddican and Dale Haddican.

Mrs. Bray, who at one time lived on a farm in the Hawarden-Hudson area, died Sunday at the Omaha University Hospital.

Mattie Krusen was born May 1, 1902, and married Nathan Bray at Dakota City, Nebraska, in 1950. She was preceded in death by her father and a brother.

Survivors include the widower; two daughters, Mrs. Esther Hamilton of White Bear Lake, Minnesota, and Mrs. Myrtle Harvey of Hawarden; five sons, Carl Anderson and George Anderson of Hawarden, Peter Anderson of Chatsworth, Frank Anderson of Sioux Falls and Lester Anderson of Larabee, Iowa; three step-sons, Glenn Bray of North Platte, Nebraska, La Verne Bray of San Pablo, California, and Virgil Bray of Fairbury, Nebraska; her mother, Myrtle Krusen of Sloan, Iowa; a brother, Marlow Krusen of Hornick, Iowa, and two sisters, Mrs. Laura Jahde of Hawarden and Mrs. Blanche Haddican of Hudson.
