Funeral At Hospers For Roy De Jong
Roy De Jong, 48, living north of Alton, died Wednesday last at the Orange City hospital after
an extended illness. Funeral services were held Saturday at the Christian Reformed church, Hospers, Rev. Veenstra officiating. Mr. De Jong was born Jan. 22, 1915 at Games. He married Harriet Venema Feb. 16, 1939, at Hospers.

Surviving are Mrs. De Jong, two sons and two daughters: Glen of Fort Gordon, Ga. And Eugene at home, Marcia and Ann, both of Grand Rapids, Mich.; his father and stepmother, Mr. and Mrs. Frank De Jong of Hospers, 3 sisters Mrs. Joe Smit and Mrs. Henry Kreykes of Sheldon, Mrs. Wm. Smit of Hull as brother, Burt of Sheldon and stepbrother, Julius Levering of Valentine NE
