John Moss, 72, of Rock Valley, died Wednesday, December 10. in a hospital at Sioux Center. Services were at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the Carmel Reformed Church near Rock Valley. The Rev! William Hoffman officiated. Burial was in the Carmel Cemetery under direction of the Vander Ploeg Funeral Home of Sioux Center.

Mr. Moss was born May 10, 1908, at Sioux Center. He married Gertrude Bouma Jan. 24, 1934. at Hull. They farmed in the Sioux Center area until 1974 when they moved into the Carmel community.

Survivors include the widow; five sons, Alvin D. of Litchfield Park, Ariz., Leslie Wayne at home. Neal J. and Myron K., both of Sioux Center and Harlan J. of Jasper, Minn.; two daughters, Mrs. John B. (Mary) Van Middendorp of Sioux Center and Mrs. Kenneth A. (Eileen) Kooima of Rock Valley; 29 grandchildren; two brothers, Marion and Edward, both of Sioux Center and two sisters, Mrs. Martin (Gertrude) De Jager of Rock Valley and Mrs. Simon (Tracy) De Jong of Sioux Center.
