Pioneer Farmer Passes Away

Mr. Aart Bouw, 85 years of age, answered the summons of death at his home early Saturday morning following a lingering illness.

Mr. Bouw was born at Nuenspeet, Netherlands. Providence Gelderland April 22, 1853. He came to America 40 years ago.

Married on December 26, 1898, at Hull, Iowa to Miss Hendrine Beekman, to this union 4 children were born.

The surviving are the widow and children, Andrew, Albert, Henry and Edward, all living at home. He also leaves three brothers and one sister: they are Hein, Johannes, Evert and Mrs. Aaltje Bredeweg, they live in the Netherlands.

Mr. Bouw was engaged in farming, having farmed for the past 15 years southwest of Orange City, Iowa.

Funeral services were held Tuesday November 22nd, at 1 o'clock from the residence and at 1:30 o'clock from the First Christian Reformed Church, Orange City, Iowa. The Reverend R. Bronkema officiated. Interment was held in the Orange City Cemetery.
